Shri Ram Krishna Fashion

Our place is at No. 5-6 in Shankar Nagar Industry. It's in the Kapodra area of Varachha. Being in an industrial zone means there is always the sound of machines nearby. Shri Ram Krishna Fashion is where we spend all our daylight hours. It’s not a fancy showroom. We have concrete floors and high ceilings. Mostly we are busy with the production side of things. Kapodra is a tough area but people here work very hard. We started this unit because we wanted to be close to the other textile workers. There are two units, 5 and 6, so we have a bit of room to move around. We don't really have a front desk or a receptionist. If you walk in, you’ll probably see me or one of the boys working on the fabrics. We handle a lot of bulk stuff. Shankar Nagar is full of places like ours. Sometimes the rain makes the roads messy around here, but work doesn't stop. We drink a lot of tea and talk about the market prices. It’s a simple life. We don't try to be something we are not. We just make the clothes and send them out. Most of our day is spent making sure the items are okay before the trucks arrive to pick them up. It’s a lot of repeating the same tasks, but it’s what we know how to do.
