Shri Keshav Krishak Producer Company Limited is located in Salsalai. We are based out of Hemlata Bai’s place. It isn't a store or a big office, just a residential spot where we can keep our files and meet up when we need to talk about the business. Being a krishak, or a farmer, around here means you are always busy, so we don't spend all day in the office anyway. Usually, we are out in the fields or moving stuff around. We started this company because we thought it would be better if we handled our farming business as a group instead of everyone just doing their own thing and hoping for the best. Salsalai is a decent place to live, though it gets very quiet in the winter. We don’t have any fancy marketing or big signs. Most people just know where Hemlata lives and they come by when they have something to discuss. It’s a very practical arrangement. We deal with the seeds, the harvests, and the buyers as they come. Sometimes the market prices are bad and we all have a bit of a moan about it over some tea. It is just a small-town operation with people who have been farming this soil for a long time. We don't try to be something we aren't; we just keep the books and try to stay organized as best as we can given the daily workload and the seasonal rush.
