Wgaure Parisar Agro Clinic

Our agro clinic is situated on Bibvewadi Road 4 in Umarwada. We deal with all sorts of things related to farming and gardening. It’s not a fancy place; just a simple room with some counters and shelves full of various seeds and fertilizers. Farmers come in from the surrounding areas to show us their plants that aren't doing well. We look at the leaves and the soil to try and figure out what’s wrong. It’s a lot of listening to people talk about their crops and their worries about the weather. We also keep a few books on pests and plant diseases handy because you can't remember everything. The air in here always smells a bit like damp earth and chemicals, which I’ve grown to like. We don't try to push products on people; we just tell them what we think will work for their specific problem. Sometimes we go out to visit a farm if the problem is really bad. It’s good to see the plants in the ground rather than just a sample in a plastic bag. We’ve been doing this for several years and have a good relationship with the local growers. It’s a quiet, useful kind of job and we plan to keep at it for a long time. People around here know they can just walk in and ask a question whenever we are open.
