Shreejee Sarees

Our little shop is located at 3036 in the New Sardar Market over on Punakumbhariya Road. If you have ever been to this market, you know it is always humming with people and trucks. We deal mostly with sarees. We have them stacked in every corner of the room. It’s a lot of folding and unfolding every single day. I think I could do it in my sleep by now. The shelves are getting a bit old and they creak a bit when we add more stock. We aren't a big fancy showroom. We just have some lights and a place for people to sit if they want to see the different designs. Most of our neighbors are doing the same thing, so we all know each other. We share a pot of tea in the morning and talk about how the market is doing. The road outside is loud with horns and people shouting, but once you are inside the market, you just get used to the noise. It’s just how things are here. We don't have a mission statement or anything like that. We just show up, open the shop, and wait for people to come in. Sometimes the rains make the road outside a bit of a mess, but the business doesn't stop. It’s a steady kind of life and we have been doing it for years now without much change.
