Shree Ram Sarees

We are located at H 12 in Nehrunagar, which is part of the Parvat area. The street is usually quite busy with people moving about, but our specific corner feels a bit more settled. We have been working out of this small shop for a long time now, and the walls are lined with wooden shelves that we built ourselves back when we started. There is a tea stall just around the corner that we visit every single morning before we pull up the metal shutters. The front door has a habit of sticking when the weather gets humid, so you usually have to give it a solid push to get inside. Once you are in, you’ll see sarees stacked everywhere. We don’t have a big staff, just two or three of us who know where everything is kept. We spend a lot of our time checking the new arrivals and making sure the folds are neat. Folding a saree takes a bit of practice to get right, and it occupies most of our quiet afternoons. Sometimes we have to shift the heavy display benches around to make enough room for a big delivery from the trucks. The lighting isn't particularly bright in the back, so we have a couple of desk lamps to help us see the finer details of the cloth. It is just a regular neighborhood shop where we know the postman and the other local business owners.
