Working out of G-33 in the Sagar Building can be a bit of a maze if you aren't familiar with the Radha Krishna Textile Market. This part of the Ring Road is always packed with trucks and people carrying bundles of cloth. Shivani Fashion is situated right in the middle of all that noise and energy. We spend most of our time just organizing the shelves and dealing with the vendors who come through. It's a ground floor spot, which makes it easier to move stuff in and out, but the dust from the road is a constant battle. We have been in this shop for a good bit now. It’s got that old building smell, but the walls are sturdy. Most afternoons are spent checking the inventory against the invoices. Sometimes the paperwork gets a bit ahead of us, so we stay late to catch up. The neighbors are alright, mostly other textile people doing the same thing we are. We don't have a big fancy sign or anything, just the name on the door. People usually find us by word of mouth or if they’re already walking through the market looking for something specific. It is just a regular day-to-day operation. We open up early, sweep the floor, and start the kettle. If it's a slow day, we just sit and talk about the news. That is how things go here at the Sagar Building on Ring Road.
