Seema Sarees

Seema Sarees is tucked away over on Varachha Road, specifically at 1st C Cross 3rd Stage. It is a bit of a walk from the main junction, but people find us well enough. The shop is filled with stacks of sarees from the floor to the ceiling almost. We spend a lot of our time just unfolding and folding fabric back up after someone wants to see the colors. The lights inside are bright so people can see the real shade of the thread. It gets a bit cramped when more than three or four people are inside at once. Varachha Road is always loud with scooters and people shouting, so the shop feels like a bit of a break from that noise. We don’t do any big advertising. Mostly, it is just neighbors or people who heard about us from their cousins. My family has been around this area for a long time, so we know most of the faces that walk in. We sit on the floor cushions mostly while we talk to the customers. It is more comfortable that way. Sometimes we have tea brought in from the stall nearby while we wait for the afternoon rush. It isn’t a high-end boutique with glass cases. It is just a regular place where you can find something decent to wear for a function without any fuss.
