Sas Bahu Exclusive Fancy Sarees & Dress

Our shop is right across from Surbhi Colaction, near the Mangaleshwar Mahdev Temple in Bharthana. You can often hear the temple bells from where we sit. It is a nice spot for a saree shop because people are always coming and going in this area. We have a lot of different dresses and sarees piled up on the shelves, and we spend a good chunk of our day unfolding them for people and then folding them back up again. It is a lot of work to keep the silk and cotton looking neat. The name Sas Bahu comes from the idea of family, which is how we run things here. It is a bit crowded inside because we try to keep a lot of variety on hand. The lighting is okay, but we often take the fabric to the door to show the real color in the sunlight. Bharthana is a good neighborhood, and we have gotten to know a lot of the families who live nearby. Sometimes the kids run in while their mothers are looking at the fancy borders. We don't have any big sales pitches, we just show what we have and let people decide. It is a simple life of measuring fabric and making sure the shop stays clean enough for the next person who walks in. The rainy season can be a bit messy with the mud outside, but we just put down some mats and keep going. Most evenings we sit outside for a bit.
