Saree Sansar

Saree Sansar is based out of the Abhishek Textile Market on Ring Road. Our shop is No. 411/12. If you know the Ring Road area, you know it’s the heart of the whole textile trade here. It’s loud, dusty, and there is always something moving on the street. We are one of many shops in this huge building. It can be a bit overwhelming for people who aren't used to the crowd. We spend our days surrounded by fabric and plastic packaging. The market opens early, and the energy stays high until late in the evening. We have a couple of guys who help with the heavy lifting because the bundles can be quite heavy when they arrive from the mills. Our space is functional and simple. We have benches for people to sit on and long tables for showing the sarees properly. It’s not about the decor here; it’s about the goods we have on hand. We’ve had the same neighbors in the market for many years, so we all know each other. We often share snacks or complain about the heat together during the afternoons. It’s a community of traders. We don't have a website or anything. We just rely on people coming into the market building. It’s a tough business sometimes, but we’ve been doing it a long time and know the way it works.
