If you’re looking for us, we’re down in the lower ground of Shree Jagdamba Textile Market. It’s unit L 530. Being near the Shankar Textile Market and right on Ring Road means it’s always packed with people and trucks. It can be a bit of a maze in here if you’re not used to the market layout. We’ve been at Saraswati Saree Centre for quite some time, and we’ve seen the market change over the years. Our space isn't very big, and since it’s on the lower ground, we don’t get much natural light. We rely on the overhead bulbs and just keep our heads down. Most of our day is spent unfolding and folding sarees, checking for any issues, and talking to the people who come in. It’s a lot of physical work, lifting heavy bundles and moving them around the cramped space. The air in the market is always thick with the smell of new fabric and maybe some tea from the nearby stalls. We don’t have a website or anything like that; we just rely on being here every day. We know the other shopkeepers around us, and we usually share a quick meal during the slow hours. It’s a tough environment sometimes, but it’s where we belong. We just want to do our work quietly and keep things moving. It’s a simple life in the middle of a very busy market.
