Sanklecha Fashion

Our place is at A-1336 in the Surat Textile Market, right on Ring Road. This market is one of the busiest places you could ever imagine. There are people everywhere, and the noise never really stops. Sanklecha Fashion is just one small unit among thousands of others in the building. Inside, it’s just stacks of cloth everywhere you look. We have rows of shelves filled with different types of fabric and finished garments. It is a bit crowded, and we often have to move piles of material just to find a place to sit. The lighting in the hallways is a bit dim, but our shop is bright enough to see what we are doing. We spend most of our day on the phone or talking to the laborers who carry the heavy bundles. There is always a lot of dust from the textiles in the air. We have a small desk where we keep our accounts and a couple of stools for when we have visitors. The air conditioning is a lifesaver during the humid months in Surat. We usually get our lunch from one of the many food stalls in the market or bring it from home. It is a very fast-paced environment and things can get quite chaotic during the peak seasons. We’ve been in this market for a long time and we know the shortcuts through the building. It is a tough way to work, but we are used to the hustle.
