I have my workspace at 204 Anand Mahal Road, right inside the Manjitnagar Krishna Complex. It is an older building but it works well for what I do. Most of my day is spent sitting at my desk looking over files and making notes on yellow pads. The stairs up to the second floor can be a bit of a climb if the lift is acting up again, which happens more than I like. Outside the window, you can hear the cars on Anand Mahal Road all day long. I have lived around here for a long time so I know the shortcuts through Manjitnagar. People usually find me through word of mouth or they just see the nameplate when they are visiting other offices in the complex. I don't really have a big staff or anything, so if the phone rings, I am the one picking it up. It gets a bit dusty in here if I do not wipe the shelves every morning, but that is just part of being in this part of town. I try to keep things simple and honest with everyone who walks through that door. Sometimes I take a break and go downstairs for tea at the corner stall. It is a regular office life, nothing more and nothing less. I like being my own boss even if it means I have to handle all the boring filing myself at the end of every week. It keeps me busy and the days go by pretty fast when there is a lot of work.
