We are situated in rooms 201 and 202 over in Nanpura, specifically the Maninagar Kankaria side. It is right across from the State Bank of India, which makes it easy for people to find us when they are out doing their banking. The office is split into two rooms, but we mostly end up crowding into one because it’s easier to talk that way. There is a lot of old furniture here that has been around for years, and it still holds up just fine. We spend most of our hours looking at files or talking to people who drop in without an appointment. The building itself has seen better days, but it’s sturdy and keeps the sun off us during the hottest part of the afternoon. We have a small balcony, but it’s mostly used for storing a few empty crates and the mop. You can hear the bank security guard blowing his whistle every now and then across the street. It’s a familiar sound that marks the time for us. We don’t have any big corporate slogans or anything like that hanging on the walls. We just come in, do the work that needs doing, and head home when the sun starts to go down. It’s a simple setup that has worked for us for a long time without needing any fancy changes. We keep our paperwork in metal cabinets that squeak every time you open them to find something.
