You can find us in the basement at J-138 to 142 in the Krishna Textile Market. Being in the basement means we don't get much natural light, but it stays a bit cooler down here when the Surat heat gets bad outside. The market is located near the J. J. A/c Market on the Ring Road, so there is always a lot of movement and noise around us. Our space is filled with big cardboard boxes and rolls of fabric ready to be sent out. We have a few heavy tables for packing and a corner where we keep the shipping labels and tape. It’s not a pretty place, but it’s where all the hard work happens. We spend a lot of time checking the weights of the boxes and making sure everything is labeled right for export. The hallways of the Krishna Textile Market are narrow and always full of workers carrying heavy loads on their shoulders. We have to be careful when moving our own stock so we don't get in anyone's way. Our team is small, mostly just a few guys who know how to pack things tightly so nothing gets damaged on the long trip. We drink a lot of tea to keep going through the afternoon slump. It’s a busy life in the textile market, and we are just one of many units trying to keep things moving smoothly from this basement spot.
