Rottomac Sarees

The unit for Rottomac Sarees is in the K block of Sita Estate, numbers 2609 and 2610. Khatodara is a busy industrial spot near Aziz Baug. There are always trucks moving about. The space we have is quite large, but it fills up with sarees faster than you would think. High ceilings make the place feel a bit like a warehouse. Large doors are good for loading and unloading the big crates. Most of our day involves standing at the long wooden tables. We inspect and fold each piece carefully. My staff has been with me for a long time, so we work well together. We start the day with tea and a talk about the orders. In the afternoon, the pace picks up and the talking stops. The concrete floor gets very cold in the winter. We all wear thick slippers or socks while we work to stay warm. There is no big neon sign outside, just our unit numbers painted on the metal door in black. Neighbors often drop by to borrow tools or talk about the traffic on the main road. We don't try to look like a fancy boutique. Our focus is just on the fabric and making sure it’s ready for the transport trucks. When the sun goes down, we tidy up the tables, lock the big gates, and head home for the evening.
