We are located in the Navapura area of Surat, right on Karva Road. Our shop is number 115 inside the Amrut Shanti Shopping complex, which is on plot number 390. It’s directly across from the street where Peoples Bank is situated. This part of Surat is very well known for the gem trade, so there are always people moving around and businesses doing their thing. Our shop isn’t very big, but it’s where we spend all our time working with various gems. We have our lamps and magnifying tools ready to go every morning. The shopping complex is a busy place, and you can always hear the sounds of the street and the other shops nearby. We don't have a big marketing team or anything polished like that. It’s just us in the shop, handling the stones and talking to the traders who come through. It’s a lot of manual work and it requires a lot of concentration. We’ve been here for a while and we know the rhythms of Karva Road. It’s a practical spot for a business like ours because everyone in the trade passes by at some point. We keep our shutters open and just get on with the work. It’s not a fancy life, but it’s our trade and we’ve been doing it this way for a long time. There is always something new to look at and plenty of people to meet.
