Sb Gems

We've been here at the Umiya Diamond Complex for a while now. It's room 305, right on the Havada Sheri corner. Being so close to the railway station means there is always a lot of noise and people moving about. Mahidharpura is busy like that. Most days start early for us here. We handle gems, mostly just sitting at the benches and doing the work that needs to be done. It isn't a fancy place, just a regular workshop where we keep our heads down. Sometimes the trains are loud enough to vibrate the windows, but you get used to it after a week or so. It's a tight spot, tucked away in the corner of the building. We don't have much of a lobby or anything like that. People usually just drop by because they know where we are or they saw the sign while walking from the station. The stairs in this building can be a bit steep if you aren't expecting it, and the handrail is a bit loose on the second flight. We just keep things moving. There is always tea being passed around the complex in the afternoons, usually by the same guy who’s been doing it for years. It's just how things go around here in Surat. Nothing too complicated about what we do or how we run the shop. We just open up around nine, get through the day's tasks, and lock up when it gets dark. It’s honest work in a busy part of town, and we don't feel the need to change much about it.
