Nevil Gems

We are Nevil Gems, and our shop is located at number 17 in the Tapovan building on Varacha Road. If you know the area, we are right across from the Gitanjali Cinema. That’s a big landmark around here, so most people don't have trouble finding us. Varacha Road is always full of energy, with cars and bikes zooming past all day long. Our shop is a modest place where we deal with various gems. It’s a busy part of Surat, especially for anyone in the diamond or stone business. We spend our time at the counters, showing stones to whoever comes in. Some days it’s very busy and other days we just sit and organize our stock. The shop is a bit small, and it can get a bit loud with the traffic outside, but we’re used to it. We don't have any corporate bosses or big rules, we just run the place how we think is best. We’ve been here long enough to see the buildings around us change, but we’ve stayed in this same spot. It’s a practical workspace. We don't use fancy words to describe what we do. We just sell gems and try to be helpful. Most of our day is spent talking to people and checking the quality of the stones we get in. It's honest work in a very lively part of town. We are usually here until late evening when the cinema crowds start to thin out.
