Riya Sarees

Riya Sarees has been operating out of the Abhishek Tex Market for quite some time now. Our shop is numbers 645 and 646, and you can find us on the 1st floor. Being on Ring Road means there is always something going on. The market is always loud with people shouting and trucks backing up to unload more goods. Inside our place, it’s mostly just shelves of sarees stacked up to the ceiling. We spend a lot of time unfolding things to show people and then folding them back up again, which takes forever. The first floor is okay, not too many stairs to climb, which is a relief. We see a lot of different people coming through the market every day. Some days are so busy we barely have time to sit down, and other days it’s just us sitting around waiting for the next delivery. The lighting in the market isn't the best, but we make do with what we have. It’s a practical kind of job. We don’t do anything fancy, just handle the sarees and make sure the orders are correct. Ring Road is the heart of the textile stuff here, so we are right in the thick of it. It’s dusty and crowded, but it’s where we work. We just keep going, day in and day out, trying to stay on top of the inventory.
