Shashi Sarees

Shashi Sarees is located right on Ring Road. It’s a busy part of town, so there are always cars and people passing by our front door. We’ve got a good variety of sarees in the shop, ranging from simple ones you’d wear every day to some that are a bit more decorated for special times. We don't have a huge staff, usually just a few of us here to help out. The shop is filled from floor to ceiling with stacks of fabric. We’ve tried to organize them by color or material, but by the end of a busy afternoon, things usually look a bit lived-in. We don't use a lot of fancy lights or displays; the sarees themselves are enough to look at. Working on Ring Road means it’s never really quiet, but we like being where the action is. We spend our time helping customers find the right shade of silk or cotton. We aren't trying to be the biggest store in the city or anything like that. We just want to provide a place where people can find a nice saree without a lot of fuss. It’s a practical business. We open the doors early and stay until the evening rush dies down. It’s a lot of standing and talking, but it’s what we know how to do. We’ve been part of this street for quite some time now and plan to stay for much longer.
