Rajguru Sarees

Our place, Rajguru Sarees, is located at J-24 in the Old Bombay Market. This is over in the Umarwada area, which everyone just calls Bombay Market for short. It’s one of the older spots in town, and it has a lot of history. Our shop is just one of many in the row. It’s a bit of a maze inside the market if you aren't familiar with it. J-24 is our little corner where we keep all our stock and do our daily business. We spend most of our time sorting through sarees and making sure everything is in the right place for the next day. The aisles can get very narrow when the new shipments come in. We often have to step over bags and boxes just to get to the back of the shop. It’s a busy environment with people always rushing past the door. We don't have a big team, just a couple of us who know the inventory inside out. The lighting in the Old Bombay Market isn't great, so we have some extra lamps inside the shop to help us see the colors clearly. Sometimes we have a quick lunch at the desk between customers. It’s not a fancy lifestyle, just the daily grind of the textile trade. We’ve been here long enough that the walls look a bit worn, but that doesn't really bother us. We just care about the work we do and finishing the day.
