Raj Laxmi Saree Centre

We set up shop over in Jaya Nagar, specifically in the 4th T Block. We are right across from the Jain Daherasar at 5/666, so it’s easy for people to find us when they are out and about. Our place, Raj Laxmi Saree Centre, is where we spend most of our time. It’s a neighborhood spot, really. We have all sorts of sarees packed into the shelves. It isn't the most organized looking place sometimes, especially when we are busy showing different colors and patterns to someone, but we know where everything is. The area around here is nice and feels like home. We see the same faces often, which is good. We don't have a marketing team or anything. We just open the doors in the morning and see who comes in. Sometimes it’s quiet and we just sit and drink tea, and other times three families come in at once. We handle it as it comes. We’ve been here long enough that we feel like part of the street. It’s a straightforward business. We sell sarees, we talk to our neighbors, and we go home at night. That’s about all there is to tell about us. We aren't looking to expand into some giant chain. We just like having our little corner here in Surat where we can do our work and talk to the locals.
