We are located in Katargam, specifically in the Gotalawadi area. Our office is in the Hari Krishna Complex-E, units 4 and 5. It’s on a street called Koli Faliya. It’s a very local part of Surat. You won’t find any big corporate skyscrapers here. It’s mostly just people working hard. We deal with diamonds. That’s what we’ve always done. My partners and I have been in this trade for a long time. The office is simple. We have our scales and our loupes and a few computers. It’s not the most modern place, but it works for what we need. The neighborhood is always noisy with the sound of the diamond industry. You can hear the polishing machines from the shops nearby. We know most of the people on our floor. We grab tea from the same stall every afternoon. We don't have a mission statement or a list of values posted on the wall. We just believe in showing up and doing the work right. Sometimes we stay late when there’s a lot to do, and other times we leave early if things are quiet. It’s a real business run by real people. We aren't trying to be anything we’re not. We just handle diamonds in a busy corner of Katargam. That’s the long and short of it. We just try to keep things moving along and treat people fairly when they come through the door.
