If you head over to Katargam, you’ll find us in the Sukhdev Complex. We are right on the front side of the third floor, so we get a decent view of the street. It’s just across from the B. Station, near Nandu Doshi Ni Wadi. It’s a bit of a maze getting up there if it’s your first time, but you’ll find the door for R. Ajay Diamond eventually. We’ve been in Surat for a long time, working with diamonds like everyone else in this neighborhood. The office is usually cluttered with papers and small parcels. We don't have a receptionist or anything, so usually one of us just looks up when the door opens. It’s a small team, mostly family and people we’ve known for years. We do a lot of sorting and grading throughout the day. The light from the front windows is good for that. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there, we just want to do right by the people we work with. Lunch is usually a quick affair so we can get back to the tables. Sometimes the power flickers, but that’s just life in the complex. We keep the fans running and stay busy until it’s time to lock up and head home. It's a simple life, but the work is steady and we know the trade well. There is no point in complicating things when the work speaks for itself at the end of the day.
