Prasang Sarees

Our shop is at S 2105 on the second floor, right on the busy Ring Road. If you know this area, you know how much traffic and noise there is at all hours. Being on the second floor helps a little bit with the street noise, but it’s still a very active place. We have stacks of sarees everywhere you look. Sometimes it feels like we are running out of space to put new arrivals. The lift in the building is often busy with people moving bundles of cloth, so we end up using the stairs a lot. We spend most of our time dealing with the stock and making sure everything is counted correctly. Ring Road is the heart of the textile trade here, so we are right in the middle of it all. It’s not a place for a quiet chat, as things move very fast. We have customers who have been coming to this same building for years. The shop is simple and practical, with plain floors and lots of shelving. We don't have any fancy decorations because the sarees themselves bring enough color to the room. It gets a bit stuffy in the afternoons, but we are used to the rhythm of the market by now. We just focus on the daily tasks of buying and selling without making a big fuss about it.
