Prasang Designer Sarees

Our place is over in the New GIDC area of Katargam. We’re at No. 968/69. It’s an industrial area, so there are a lot of factories and workshops around us. Prasang Designer Sarees has been operating from this spot for a good bit now. It’s not a fancy boutique in a mall. We’re right here in the middle of where things are actually made. The shop is often a bit messy with threads and fabric scraps on the floor. We do our own designs and work on the sarees right here. Katargam is known for this kind of work, so we fit right in. The road outside can get pretty muddy when it rains, and the sound of machines from the neighboring units is always in the background. We don't have a big sales team. It’s just us and a few workers who know their way around a saree. We keep the doors open for some air, but it’s still pretty warm inside. People come to us directly because they want to see where the sarees are made. We aren't trying to be a big brand name. We just like making nice clothes that people want to wear for their special occasions. It’s a lot of manual work and long hours, but seeing the finished product makes it worth it.
