Panwala Tutions

Panwala Tutions has been based in Nanpura for a good amount of time. If you know Surat, you know Nanpura is one of those older areas with narrow streets and a lot of history. It’s 395001, right in the heart of things. Our space is simple. We have the usual benches and a board where we write things down. It gets quite humid here during the monsoon, so we are always making sure the windows are shut at the right time. Most of the kids who come here live just a few streets away, so they usually walk or ride their cycles. We don’t have a big fancy lobby or anything like that. It is just a room where we sit and go over the homework. The street noise is always there, with the street food vendors and the people going about their business, but it feels like home to us. Sometimes we stay late to finish up a lesson, and you can see the city lights starting to come on outside. We don’t have any big signs, just the name Panwala Tutions so people know which door to knock on. We’ve seen a lot of students come and go over the years. It’s a quiet life mostly, just sticking to the routine and making sure the students understand what they are reading. We keep a stack of extra pens and pencils for whoever forgets theirs. That is just how we do things here in Nanpura.
