Vishwaha Fashion is located in Pandesara, Surat. If you know Surat, you know Pandesara is where a lot of the textile action happens. It is an industrial patch where the machines are always humming. We have a space here where we handle our daily operations. It is not a boutique with glass windows and mannequins. It is more of a functional unit where we deal with fabric and designs. The air smells like dyes and thread most days. We spend a lot of time looking at different patterns and talking to the people who do the weaving and printing. It is hard work and the floor is usually covered in bits of cloth. We do not have a professional cleaning crew coming in every hour; we just sweep up at the end of the day. The guys who work here have been in the textile line for years. We know what we are doing, but we do not feel the need to shout about it. We take our work seriously but we keep the atmosphere light. We drink a lot of tea and sometimes we have snacks brought in from the local market. The traffic in Pandesara can be a bit much when the shifts change, so we try to time our movements around that. It is a practical, no-nonsense kind of place. We just focus on getting the orders out on time and keeping everything organized. It is just how we run things around here every day.
