Odhani

We are located at C-3128 inside the Radha Krishna Textile Market. This is right on the Ring Road, so it is always buzzing with energy and people looking for fabric. Our space is one of many in this big building, but we have made it our own over time. It is a bit of a maze in here if you aren't used to it, with all the corridors and different units. Inside Odhani, it is mostly shelves stacked high with different materials and colors. We don't have a lot of room for much else besides the fabric and a small desk for the ledger. The air usually smells like fresh cotton and maybe some chai from the vendor who walks by every hour. We spend the day helping people find the specific shade or pattern they need for their projects. It is a lot of unfolding and refolding cloth, which keeps us on our feet. The market can be quite loud with the shouting of porters and the hum of the air conditioners, but we don't mind it. It feels like being part of something bigger. We try to keep things organized, though during the busy season, it gets a bit messy with rolls of fabric everywhere. That is just part of the job. We aren't here to impress anyone with a sleek office; we are here to move fabric and make sure the customers get what they came for. It is a simple, busy life on Ring Road.
