Our spot is number 4007 inside the New Sardar Traders Market. If you have ever been to Puna Kumbharia Road, you know it is a massive hub for textiles. The market is huge and it is easy to get lost if you do not know the layout. We have been operating out of this unit for a while now. It is basically a box filled with sarees from top to bottom. We do a lot of wholesale work, so there are always bundles tied up with plastic or rope waiting to be shipped out. It is not the kind of place where you sit down and have a long chat. Everything moves fast here. The hallways of the market are always crowded with guys carrying huge loads on their shoulders. We spend our time checking orders and making sure the patterns are what the customers asked for. The lights are those long fluorescent tubes that hum a little bit. It gets really hot in the middle of the day, so we just drink a lot of water and keep moving. We do not have any polished sales pitch. We just show the stock and tell people what is available. It is a practical way to work. We have got a rhythm down now. It is all about the volume of cloth and getting things where they need to go. It is a hard-working environment, but we would not have it any other way.
