Navdurga Farmers Producer Companylimited

Our little office is located at number 48 in Tanki Faliya, right in the heart of Pisad village. Most of us have lived in Vanesa or around the Palsana area our whole lives. Navdurga Farmers Producer Company started because a few of us were sitting around talking about how hard it was to get a fair price for what we grow. We decided it was better to be together than on our own. It’s not a big operation. We use a small space near the water tank, which is why everyone calls this area Tanki Faliya. You can’t miss it if you’re coming through the village. We handle a lot of the local produce that comes in from the fields nearby. It gets pretty dusty in the summer and muddy when the monsoon hits, but that’s just how it is in the village. We spend most of our mornings checking on things and talking to the farmers who stop by. We don't have fancy furniture or a computer that works half the time, but we get the job done. It’s mostly about helping each other out. If someone has a problem with their seeds or needs help moving their bags, we try to see what can be done. It’s a simple life, and we are just trying to keep the farms going for the next generation. We are just regular people working the soil.
