Molana Azad Memorial School Mullakhedi

Down in Kapodra, specifically around the Satyanarayan Society area, you’ll find us at Molana Azad Memorial School Mullakhedi. It is a bit of a long name, but people around here just know where we are. We have been part of this Surat neighborhood for a while now. The school sits in a spot that gets quite a lot of foot traffic. Every morning, the gates open and the kids start pouring in from the surrounding houses. We aren't trying to be some high-tech institute or anything like that. We just focus on the basic lessons and making sure the children actually understand what they are reading. The classrooms are simple, with regular benches and blackboards that have seen better days. Our staff mostly lives in or around Kapodra, so we see the parents at the local market or on the street all the time. It makes the school feel more like a community spot than just a workplace. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to open all the windows to catch a breeze, but the kids don't seem to mind much. We don't have a giant auditorium, so most of our gatherings happen right in the middle of the courtyard. It gets dusty, and the walls might need a fresh coat of paint soon, but the atmosphere is usually pretty lively. We just take things one day at a time, making sure the kids are safe and learning something useful before they head home.
