Model St. Michael'S High School

It’s usually pretty loud around Mahaprabhu Nagar in the mornings when things get moving at Model St. Michael'S High School. We are right here on Parvat Limbayat Road. If you know the area, you know how the traffic gets on the way to Limbayat. The school building isn't anything like those giant glass towers you see in the middle of Surat. It’s just a practical place where students come to learn their lessons. Most of the staff has been around for a long time. You see the same faces every day at the gate. Sometimes the fans in the classrooms squeak a bit when it gets really hot in the afternoon, but nobody seems to mind much. We just get on with the work. Parents stop by the office to talk about fees or just to check on how their kids are doing. There is a lot of dust from the road sometimes, especially when the wind picks up, so we spend a lot of time sweeping. It feels like a small community here. Everyone knows everyone’s business in a way. The bells ring at the usual times and kids run out to the shops nearby for a quick snack. It’s just how life goes on this side of town. We don’t have fancy stuff but the desks are sturdy and the teachers show up on time. That’s usually enough for most families around here who just want their kids to finish school and do something decent.
