Mohan Swaroop Public School

You’ll find us in the Magannagar-2 Society, which is along Singanpor Road in the Katargam part of Surat. Mohan Swaroop Public School is where many of the kids from the nearby societies spend their mornings and afternoons. It started because the neighborhood needed a local place for children to learn without traveling too far. The building sits right among the houses, so it feels like a real part of the community. We have different classrooms for the various grades. It’s often quite loud in the mornings when everyone is arriving. We try to keep the kids focused on their lessons, whether it’s math or languages. The playground isn't huge, but the children find ways to play during their breaks. We have a staff that cares about what they do. Some have been living in Katargam their whole lives. We see the same faces every day, and we’ve watched a lot of these kids grow up from small children to teenagers. It’s a practical environment. We don’t have much in the way of fancy gadgets, just the usual school supplies and teachers who talk to the students. Sometimes the fans are a bit loud in the summer, but we all just deal with it. It’s just a normal school where we try to do right by the families who trust us with their kids. We work hard to keep everything going here day after day, without making things more complicated than they need to be.
