I am based at 4/780 Tower Road, which is right at the 27th Cross in Jayanagar’s 4th Block. My office is on the first floor of the Ghasiya Building. It is a very recognizable spot for anyone who lives in this part of the city. Being on 7th B Main means there is always a lot of activity around us. I have been in this building for many years. The office is a bit old-fashioned, with heavy wooden cabinets and a desk that has been with me since I started. I don’t see any reason to change things just to look modern. I like the way the space feels. It’s comfortable and familiar. My workday usually starts with opening the windows to get a breeze, though the noise from Tower Road can be a bit much sometimes. Jayanagar is a great place to work because of the trees and the people. I know many of the shopkeepers nearby, and we often say hello in the mornings. My work involves a lot of reading and writing, and I prefer to do it all myself rather than hiring a bunch of people. It’s a one-man operation for the most part. I don’t have a mission statement or any fancy goals. I just try to be consistent and reliable for the people who seek my help. When the day is over, I tidy up my desk, put my files away, and walk out into the busy evening air.
