Mahalaxmi Chemicals

Mahalaxmi Chemicals is a small place we run over at 2/321, Motomohallo in Rustampura. Surat is a busy city and we’ve been part of this neighborhood for a good while now. We mostly handle various chemical supplies for local businesses. It isn't a fancy setup by any means. Our office is just a corner of the warehouse where we keep the ledgers. Most days, you’ll find us moving barrels or checking the inventory lists. It gets pretty dusty and the air smells like the stuff we sell, but we don't mind. The streets around here are narrow, so getting the delivery trucks in and out is always a bit of a puzzle. We know the other shop owners on the block and we often share a tea in the afternoon. We don't spend money on big advertisements or flashy signs. Most people find us because they’ve been coming here for years or a neighbor pointed them our way. We try to keep a decent stock of the basics. Sometimes the supply chains get messy and we have to wait for shipments from the ports, which can be frustrating. We just do our work and go home. There’s no big corporate board or anything like that here. It is just a handful of us making sure the orders are filled correctly. We like the routine of it. It’s a practical way to make a living and we know our trade well enough.
