Hindusthan Chemicals Company is located inside the Gidc Industrial State in Olpad. If you know this part of the state, you know it’s mostly about factories and large trucks moving in and out all day. The roads are a bit rough because of all the heavy loads, and there's always a bit of dust in the air. Our spot is just one of many in this big industrial grid. It isn't a place for people who like quiet, as there's always some machine running or a siren going off somewhere in the distance. We have a small yard where we keep some of the supplies, and the main office is just a plain room with a couple of old wooden desks. We’ve been at this Olpad location for a long time now. Most of the staff live nearby, so they walk or cycle in, while a few others come from the city on bikes. It gets quite hot in the sheds during the summer months, so we try to get the heavy lifting done early in the morning. There’s a small shack just outside the gate that makes decent tea, which is where you’ll find most of us during the mid-morning break. We don't have any big signs or fancy reception areas. You just walk in through the main gate and ask for whoever you're looking for. It’s a hardworking environment without any extra fluff, and that’s fine by us.
