Banarasi Silk House

You can find us at Shed No. 38-39 in Satarawadi. We are right behind the City Centre, so if you reach the Sosyo Circle on Udhana Magdalla Road, you are pretty much there. Being behind the mall means it is a bit quieter than the main road, but the traffic at the circle is always a mess. The shed is big enough for what we do at Banarasi Silk House. It is an older building and the walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but it works for us. We have been here for a long time. Inside, there are stacks of things everywhere and the light is not always the best, but we know where everything is. It is a bit of a walk from the main gate of the complex to our sheds. During the monsoon, the road gets a bit muddy, so we have to watch where we step. We have a small kettle for making tea and that is about it for luxuries. Most of our day is spent moving stuff around and talking to the drivers who come to pick things up. It is not a showroom type of place. It is a working shed where we spend most of our hours. People come and go through the circle all day, but back here in Satarawadi, we just focus on the task at hand.
