Laxmipati Sarees

If you spend any time in Surat, you probably know the Textile Market on Ring Road. It’s a massive place with thousands of shops. We are located at V- 2131. It’s a bit of a walk to get to our unit because the building is so big, but we’ve been here at Laxmipati Sarees for a long time. The Ring Road is always jammed with trucks and tempos loading and unloading goods. It’s the heart of the textile trade here. Inside the market, it’s like a different world. There are sarees everywhere you look. We spend our days sorting through stock and talking to people who come by. It gets very hot in the afternoons, but that’s just Surat for you. Our unit V- 2131 isn’t the biggest, but we make the most of the space we have. We’ve seen the market change quite a bit over the years. New people come and go, but the energy stays the same. We just keep our heads down and do our work. It’s a lot of lifting and moving boxes. Sometimes we grab tea from the stall downstairs and chat with the other shopkeepers. It’s a community of people trying to make a living. We’ve been part of this Ring Road scene for a while and don't plan on leaving anytime soon. It’s just home for us. We usually pack things up when the sun goes down and the market starts to quiet down a little bit.
