Our office is tucked away at Plot No 163 in the Sachin 4 area of the Surat Special Economic Zone. Being inside the GIDC Industrial Estate means there’s a lot of security and gates to go through just to get to work. We deal with laser components and repair services. It’s the kind of work that requires a lot of patience and steady hands. The room where we work is kept very clean and the air conditioning is always running to protect the sensitive parts. It’s a big contrast to the dusty roads outside. We are a small group and most of us have been here since the branch opened. We don’t spend much on advertising because the factories that need us usually already know where we are. We spend the day looking at circuit boards or testing laser power levels. Sometimes a client brings in a part that’s been discontinued for years and we have to figure out a way to fix it. It can be a bit of a headache, but it’s satisfying when it works again. We aren't a big corporate office with leather chairs and fancy coffee machines. We just have our workstations and our tools. The workday usually goes by pretty fast because there’s always something technical to focus on. We like the quiet environment inside the office, even if the industrial zone outside is always humming with noise and activity from the nearby plants.
