Jayesh Kumar Modi

The shop is over at Jayjalaram Shopping Center on Rander Road. It’s right by the Bhaji Mandai in Aundh Gaon. Jayesh Kumar Modi is the name we use. It gets incredibly busy there because of the vegetable market. Every morning you hear the vendors shouting and the smell of fresh greens is everywhere. It’s a lively place to work, that’s for sure. 41369 is the specific unit. It’s not the biggest space in the world, but we make it work. We have shelves packed with all sorts of things. Sometimes it’s hard to find a specific pen, but we usually know where everything is. People stop by on their way to get groceries. It’s a convenient spot for the locals. We don't have a website or anything like that. We just rely on people seeing the sign at the shopping center. I’ve been working here since I was younger. My father started things off and I just kept it going. We don’t have big plans to expand or anything crazy. We just want to keep doing what we’re doing at Rander Road. It’s a bit dusty sometimes because of the road construction nearby, but we just wipe it down and keep going. If you’re ever near the Bhaji Mandai, you’ll see us there. It’s a pretty honest way to make a living, just helping folks who walk through the door. I usually keep the door open to get a breeze, but that means a lot of noise comes in from the shopping center.
