Jatin Vyas Model Maker

My name is Jatin Vyas and I work as a model maker. My workshop is at Anukool Estate, A 1 12, on Anand Mahal Road. It’s an industrial kind of place, so it’s not very pretty to look at. There is always the sound of machines or someone hammering something nearby in the other units. Inside my unit, I have all my tools and materials like wood, plastic, and glue spread out on big tables. It gets quite messy when I’m in the middle of a project, but I usually know where everything is. Anand Mahal Road is a busy stretch, so there is always traffic and noise outside the estate gates. I’ve been at A 1 12 for a long time. I started here when the area was much quieter than it is now. Most of my day is spent hunched over a table working on small details for the models I build. It’s quiet work, mostly. I don't really have a big staff, just me and occasionally someone to help with the heavy stuff. People who need models made usually just come to the estate and ask for my unit. It’s a practical workspace, not a showroom. There’s no air conditioning, just a big ceiling fan that keeps the air moving while I work. I usually drink a lot of tea while I work. When the sun goes down, I clean up the scraps and head home. It’s what I do every day and I like it.
