Jaanshi Designer

We spend a lot of our time over here at K- 3619/ 20 in the Millennium Textile Market. If you know Ring Road, you know how busy it gets every single morning with the trucks and the people moving bundles of cloth around. Jaanshi Designer started because we just liked working with different fabrics. It is a bit noisy in this part of the market, but that is just how it is. My desk is usually covered in scraps of paper and thread. Some days the lift in the building is slow so we just take the stairs to get things moving. We deal with a lot of patterns and colors here. Usually, the morning starts with a cup of tea while we look at what needs to be finished for the week. It’s not a fancy office or anything like that. Just a workspace where we try to get the designs right. Sometimes the fabric colors don't look the same under the tube lights as they do outside, so we walk to the window a lot. The Ring Road traffic is always there in the background. We’ve been at this spot for a while now and the neighbors in the other units are mostly quiet people just doing their own work. We don't really have a big team, just a few of us making sure everything is stitched properly. It gets dusty sometimes with all the textiles, but we keep a broom handy.
