You can find us down in the basement at Indraprasth Market, specifically at shop number 13. It’s a bit of a maze down there if you aren’t used to the layout, but once you find us, it’s pretty straightforward. Prema Creation is a small operation. We handle a lot of different fabrics and clothes. Being in the basement means we don’t get a lot of natural light, so we have to keep the overhead lights on all day. It can get crowded on the weekends when the market is full of shoppers, but we like the energy of the crowds. We’ve got stacks of material piled up along the walls. Sometimes it feels like we’re running out of room, but we always manage to find what we’re looking for eventually. We aren't big on fancy displays or mannequins. We just put the stuff out where people can see it and feel the quality. Most of our regulars have been coming to us for years. They know where we are tucked away in the corner. It's a family thing, really. My sister usually handles the customers while I take care of the stock and the bills. It’s not a glamorous job, but it keeps us busy and pays the rent. Indraprasth is a good market to be in because there’s always people walking by. We just try to keep things simple and do our work without making a big fuss. Some days are long, but we’re used to the market life by now.
