Hindustan Diamond Tools

Hindustan Diamond Tools is located over at 1 Dabholi Hazara Society, inside the Sion Trimurti Complex. It’s not the easiest place to find if you aren’t looking for it, but once you’re in the complex, we’re right there. We work with diamond tools, which sounds a lot fancier than it actually is. Most of the day is spent handling heavy equipment and making sure the edges are right. It’s precise work, but the shop itself is pretty basic. We’ve got our benches, our machines, and a small space for people to wait. We don't have a receptionist or a lobby with magazines. Usually, you’ll find one of us in the back working on a piece. The complex can get a bit loud with all the other businesses around, but we’ve got our own rhythm. We’ve been in this spot for a while and have gotten to know the neighbors. Sometimes the power goes out or a machine needs a part we have to wait a week for, but that's just how it is running a small place. We don't do much in the way of marketing. Most of our customers are people who have been coming to us for a decade or more. It’s about the work we put out, not how the front office looks. We just try to get things done and keep the customers happy without making a big fuss about it. We close up around six most days.
