Himson Sarees

Our shop is tucked away inside the Millenium Market, specifically at B - 2064, 2065, and 2066. It is a huge place and honestly, it can be a bit of a maze if you don't know your way around. We have been here in this market for a long time, surrounded by the constant noise of people talking and trolleys moving past. Every morning we open up the shutters and start stacking the sarees. There are so many colors and fabrics everywhere that sometimes it feels like the walls are closing in, but we manage to make enough space for everyone to sit and look at the collections. The lights in the market are always bright, and the air conditioning hums in the background, though it doesn't always keep up with the heat when the market gets crowded. Most of our days are spent folding and unfolding cloth, chatting with the other shopkeepers nearby, and having a quick lunch behind the counter when things get busy. We aren't doing anything fancy here, just running a regular saree business in one of the busiest spots in the city. It’s a lot of work to keep track of all the stock across three units, but we have a system that works for us. You can hear the sounds of the market from early morning until late at night, and that is just the way we like it.
