Our place is over at 51 A K Road, near the Jai Mahal building. It’s a bit of a maze around here with SK Sharma Marketing and the Loha Chawl nearby. Being on S K Sharma Marg means there is always something going on outside the door. Hensel Electric India Pvt Ltd isn’t a place with a lobby or flowers at the entrance. It’s more about the work benches and the boxes piled up. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but nobody really has the time to think about that. We usually start the day early before the sun gets too hot because the Jai Mahal area gets really stuffy by noon. If the fans are blowing, it's alright. We handle a lot of electrical stuff, so there are wires and components everywhere you look. Sometimes it feels like we are just moving items from one side of the room to the other. The neighbors around Loha Chawl are loud, but they’ve been there forever, so we are used to the shouting and the trucks. We keep a handwritten ledger for everything, even if it’s a bit old-fashioned. Lunch is usually brought from home and eaten at the main table while we talk about the weekend. It’s a basic setup where the work happens and then everyone heads home to beat the evening rush. It’s just how we operate. There is always a stray cat that hangs out near the loading area too.
