The office is on the first floor of Krishna Complex. If you walk up the stairs, you will find us at number 5. Varachha Road is always busy, no matter what time of day it is. You can hear the motorbikes and the vendors from the window all day long. We have a couple of old cupboards where we keep all the files and a big table where we sit. The floor is made of that old tile that stays cool even when it is boiling outside. Sometimes the light in the hallway flickers, but we have gotten used to it. Most people who come here are from the nearby streets. We spend a lot of time just chatting with neighbors or people passing through the complex. It is a bit cramped when more than three people show up at once, so we end up standing by the door. We don't have a fancy coffee machine, just a thermos we bring from home or we get something from the shop downstairs. The building has been here for years, and you can see the wear on the walls. We have a calendar pinned to the wall that is usually a month behind because nobody remembers to flip the page. It is a simple setup, really. We just come in, do the work, and watch the chaos of the road from our little spot on the first floor. It is what it is, a small workspace for our daily chores.
