Being right on the Udhna Textile Market Road means there is always something going on outside our windows. The traffic is constant, with trucks and rickshaws moving goods all day long. Our classes are located in the middle of all that hustle. It can get pretty dusty because of the road, so we are always wiping down the desks and the chairs. The students who come here are usually used to the noise of the market, so it doesn't bother them as much as you'd think. We have a couple of rooms that we’ve divided up with thin partitions. You can sometimes hear what’s happening in the next room, but everyone just ignores it. It’s a very busy part of town, and we’re just a small part of it. I usually keep a fan running at full speed to drown out the street noise and keep the air moving. We don't have any lounge area or anything like that; students just come in, do their lessons, and then head back out into the market. It’s a practical place for people who are already in this area for work or live nearby. There’s a lot of energy on this road, and I think some of that rubs off on the classes. We don't try to make it look like something it's not. It’s just a place for learning right in the heart of the textile district.
