Our spot is over in the Adajan Dn Industrial Estate, specifically at HG 3. It’s a bit of an unusual place for classes maybe, being in an industrial area, but it works for us because it’s easy to get to. The building is solid and a bit grey, like most of the others around here. Inside, we’ve set up a few rooms with enough space for students to sit comfortably and focus on their work. You might hear some machinery humming in the distance from one of the nearby units, but you get used to it pretty quickly. We don't have a lot of decorations on the walls, just the necessary charts and maybe a calendar that’s a month behind. I usually arrive early to open up the shutters and sweep the floor before the first group arrives. It's a no-nonsense kind of environment where the main thing is just getting through the syllabus. We have a small area where students can leave their bags and shoes. The lighting is just standard tube lights, nothing fancy or soft. People often ask why we chose the industrial estate, and the answer is just that the space was available and it’s centrally located for everyone in Adajan. It’s a honest place where we spend our days teaching and the students spend their time learning, without any distractions from the outside world. We just keep our heads down and do the work day after day.
